Google does math or The Google Calculator.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=1.21+GW+%2F+88+mph

I'm sure alot of people are aware of all the cool things Google does, and I thought I was one of them. However, the google calculator somehow missed my eagle eyes.

Try typing "136 oz in gallon" in google. It will return "136 US fluid ounces = 1.0625 US gallon."
That is pretty damn cool. Thought I would bring this to the attention of others that may not know this. Of course it does conversions for just about everything.

Microsoft DirectX attack anticipated.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/030818/152/e6er2.html

Even though most businesses have installed the patch for MSBlast, there is another vulnerability that could completely overshadow last week's events. On 23 July Microsoft posted a security bulletin on its Web site that describes a "critical" vulnerability in DirectX. According to Microsoft, unprotected systems could be at the mercy of an attacker by simply playing a midi file or visiting a malicious Web page.

The danger comes, says Microsoft, in a component of DirectX that relies on a library file called quartz.dll, which is used by a number of applications -- including Internet Explorer -- to play midi files. A specially designed midi file could cause a buffer overflow error and either pass control of the system to an attacker, cause damage to the system or use the system to set off another MSBlast-type attack.

Just like the RPC flaw that MSBlaster exploited, the patch for both have been out for quite some time now. If you have not updated your DirectX 9 Runtimes lately, maybe you should.

Iomega Corp. on Tuesday introduced its Removable Rigid Disk (RRD), a new cartridge hard disk standard that the company said it hopes will return it to the top of the removable-storage market. Due in early 2004, the 2.5-inch format will provide a capacity of 35GB. Aimed primarily at replacing tape backup drives in small business environments, the RRD units will bear a "snazzier name" when they are released, an Iomega product manager explained. OUCH. Thats funny goddamnit but it hurts!

Someone left a beer in the freezer so it would get cold quicker. Well they forgot about it and it almost exploded. I made it my duty to put the beer back in the fridge. Not 3 seconds after that I noticed leftover Pizza. As I pulled the pizza box out the corner of the box proceeded to clip the frozen can thereby sending it falling from the middle shelf of the fridge right onto my bare toe.

Thats gonna leave a mark.
